Nutritional Counseling
Here at Mission Mobile Vet Services, we are very excited to offer nutritional counseling for horse owners in Austin and the surrounding communities. Nutrition is so important for horses throughout their lives. As horses age, their nutritional needs change. There are weanling, adult, and senior diets to accommodate horses’ changing needs. Then there are also diets made to help horses with certain diseases and conditions. It is important to discuss your horses’ diets with our staff every time we come for a visit.
Nutritional counseling for a horse involves a thorough assessment of the horse's diet and nutritional needs, with the goal of ensuring that the horse receives the appropriate nutrients for its age, health, and level of activity. Nutritional counseling aims to optimize the horse's health, performance, and well-being through a well-balanced and individualized diet. It is a collaborative effort between the horse owner, veterinarian, and nutritionist to promote the best possible nutrition for the horse.
